Songs from an unbridled desire to
succeed brings a king to his knees. As the plants grow so does the seed of
greed in his humble but soon to be arrogant demeanor.
He subjugates himself to the
lustful lips of power he his engulfed by his fervor for greatness.
From the street benches to beds
with sheets of silk. His desires fulfilled, a throne a crown and a kingdom.
Here he has finally arrived but thoughts of the grim reaper keeps him up at
night.
So the quest for immortality
begins, searching through the heavens and the darkest caves for longevity.
Houses were burnt lives were lost but all to a futile cause. The citizens in
pain and torture all he lived to protect was destroyed by a single thought, an
idea IMMOTARLITY.
As death walks into his sickbed
with his scythe prepared to reap another soul, he smiles to the realization
that we never get older than we're supposed to and only your deeds and actions
can make you immortal.
